The EMS Bike Unit was organized in 2022 and implemented with grant funding for all equipment and training. This unit has been highly successful in bringing ALS care to attendees and participants in public events and numerous road races. Our firefighter/paramedics and EMTs are able to remain close to the public and respond through crowds much more quickly than a full-sized ambulance or fire apparatus. Our goal is to deploy this unit on regular rounds during peak use periods at parks and playing fields, and eventually the community path.
